With "tax day" behind you, you're probably thinking, "wouldn't it be nice if I didn't have to pay any taxes"? Unfortunately that isn't the case. If you're a homeowner, you're well aware of the tax breaks that come with home ownership. If you're not, today's lending options and first time home buyer incentives make it even easier to realize some of those tax breaks. Regardless of whether you are currently a homeowner or intending to become one, there are a few things everyone should know: existing home owners may be eligible for a $2,000 federal tax credit this year, $15,000 in grant funding will be awarded to home builders in King county and opt-out services make it even easier to protect your credit.
